About Me — The Story Behind Notebook of Recipes

Notebook of Recipes isn’t just a food blog. It’s a journey that has been years in the making — a journey of growth, love, flavors, and passion.

My love for cooking didn’t begin the way most stories do. When I first moved to Canada, cooking was something I did simply because I had to. I made food for myself, but I never truly enjoyed it. It felt like a task, something to get done quickly so I could move on with my day.

But everything changed when I met my partner.

He saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself at the time. With his encouragement, patience, and constant support, I slowly started improving. And then it happened — people around me began to genuinely enjoy what I was creating. The appreciation, the smiles, the satisfaction… it lit a spark.

That spark became a fire.

I started digging deeper into flavors, experimenting with combinations, and exploring cuisines I had never imagined cooking. Preparing food went from being a chore to becoming one of my biggest passions. Cooking for others filled me with joy, and trying new dishes became something I looked forward to every single day.

In January this year, when I came back to India, I decided it was finally time to take the next step toward my dream — to build something of my own. A restaurant has always been one of my biggest goals, and while I’m not there yet, I’m taking meaningful baby steps toward it.

And one of those steps is this — Notebook of Recipes.

I created this website as a home for all my recipes — a place where everything lives together, neatly organized, easily accessible, and open to everyone who wants to cook along with me. I’m also sharing all these recipes on Instagram and YouTube, where you can find step-by-step videos and behind-the-scenes moments from my kitchen.

I can’t be everywhere physically to share my food with you, but I can share the next best thing: the recipes.

Make them in your own kitchens, at your own pace, with your own touch. And when you do, I’d love to hear from you — your feedback, your suggestions, your ideas for new dishes you want me to create. You can comment here on the blog, or reach out on Instagram and YouTube as well.

This space is more than just a recipe collection.

It’s a community.

It’s my story.

And I’m so happy you’re here to be part of it.
